Functional movement is central to what it means to be healthy.

Physical therapists and personal trainers work with individuals to prevent the loss of mobility before it occurs by developing fitness programs for healthier and more active lifestyles. Such programs may incorporate elements of Pilates, the latest in core stabilization training, specific postural exercises, strength & conditioning, and balance.

At Albany Physical Therapy we offer the following on a cash-pay basis:

Gym Program:

One of our Physical Therapists, or Personal Trainer, will design an individualized exercise routine specific to the client’s needs and goals. The client joins APT’s gym and exercises independently. He/she consults with the physical therapist on an as needed basis for exercise progression.

Personal Training:

One-on-one training sessions with our certified personal trainer Dr. Darryl I. Jackson, DC, CST. He will design an individualized exercise routine and work with his client during his/her training session(s).

Nutrition Classes (Coming Soon):

Donna Morton, PT, NC, will be offering a series of 2-hour lecture classes to focus on nutrition for healing, resolving pain, and weight management.
